Text-to-speech is usually a publisher option and some (especially the larger houses with an eye to audio-rights) deny it, but some fine readers do provide the facility for those books where text-to-speech is allowed. They tend to lack inflection because the function is comnputerised, but (like subtitles to a movie if you're hard-of-hearing), it can make actual text reading a little easier.
