No. The series custom column is a custom column. See

a third-party tutorial here. I can't vouch for this tutorial's accuracy. There are also a lot of threads in this forum. Try searching for custom columns.
Tweaks are settings that change calibre's behavior. See the tweaks preferences page for what tweaks are available.
