It's the same thing, unless you are really really really nitpicky all you will realize is a slightly better screen, and a different joystick. Mabye if you lament over life, the universe and everything - you will realize stupid things like the differences in the keyboard and stuff. If you like to sit there and web browse on it all day and stuff, and it occupies hours of your thoughts every day -- then the $139 will be money well spent to quell such unpleasant thoughts. Otherwise you will be quite content with what you have.
Or you can make your K2 a super-awsome-gift to a family member and get a k3 for yourself =)
But really, it's almost the same thing. IMO just upgrade if you don't like the old screen.
