Well, now I don't feel so stupid and alone. I just went through the same execise and nicked the ribbon cable on reassembly. Some keys don't work. I am getting a new 650 today. I think I really wanted to do that anyway, but I had the battery from the old 505. It was down to half charge after 500 pages.

I think the 650 will make me feel better.
