Try one of the other access paths. The standard one (
http://ip:port/) uses a lot of javascript and fancy networking. The others, mobile and opds, are much simpler and more static.
The mobile version is accessed by
http://ip:port/mobile, and the OPDS version by one of
http://ip:port/opds or
http://ip:port/stanza.
