This is like saying there can be only one book open in a house at any given time even though you have five thousand of them in your library. So this doesn't make sense to me. If I bought two e-books, my family member or friend should be able to read one while I'm reading the other one. This is just common sense.
The book industry tend to treat the e-books just as p-books when they like it and they consider them different if they don't like it.
