You cannot have both Epub and PDF format books on your reader at the same time -- one or the other, like kosher meat vs. dairy. This was resolved with the 900, but Sony did not update the 300 etc. to correct that.

My library has enough PDF books to make that an issue. Moreover, the 350/650 has a cropping feature that helps, too.
