Hello from Germany

Hi everyone,

I'm Andre and been interested in ereaders for a while now, but don't own a device yet. I've been reading this forum back when the iRex Iliad came out, but it was way too expensive for me, so I decided to wait and forgot about it for a while. Then I got interested in screens like the Pixel Qi or Mirasol one. But they get delayed over and over. These days, I'm not so sure anymore if I can wait any longer. On the one hand, a tablet or convertible netbook would be great for color reading (magazines) and all the additional functions. On the other hand, the eInk readers seem good enough now (Pearl) and they are much lighter than 10" tablets - better for reading many hours - and they are available right now.
I have a small collection of books from free sources like gutenberg.org already on my harddrive and would really like to read them (the monitor is not really an option). So I joined this forum to make up my mind some more. I'm most interested in the Sony PRS-650 or Thalia Oyo (if the screen is decent).

Andre.
