Dragonflight, Dragonquest, White Dragon and Harper Hall trilogy. I'm with Ken M on the brain & brawn series though the Joat story (brain city that fought) was enjoyable.
I'm a glutton for techno-space opera and anything that I can immerse in for a while and forget how old I really am.
