The Kindle is further behind than Nook and Sony.

But their advertising and Marketing is FAR ahead of nook and sony

Pearl Screen isn't exactly having High tech Gadget world on their ears and ooohhing an awwingg. It's simple an improved contrast ratio. Nothing more nothing less.
Faster page turns, sharper contrast, improved battery life, and color options.
