sony 650 or kindle?

Hi.

I almost ordered the sony 650, but looking at reviews, i learned from some obscure review that the sony has NO support for unicode fonts. It is true? Because for me is unbelievable that a ebook reader will not support any characters except the default ASCII set.
I like what i see at the sony, especially the note tacking, but if the support for diacritics is 0, then is useless.
The kindle has the free 3g, and unicode support.
I could go around the sony unicode problem, and convert the diacritics to the ascii char, but in the end why? if i can read them ok on the kindle, and at a lower cost.

So, in the end, the sony 650 has support for diacritics, or should i go for the safe way, the kindle?
