Yeah, TimeWarner is promoting it for all they're worth, and highlighting people who tried FIOS, discovered NY1 wasn't available, and switched back.
FIOS isn't available where I am, but there are a plethora of Verizon trucks in the area working under the street, so that may be about to change.
And it doesn't matter what Verizon is willing to do: I can't see TimeWarner giving them access to a feed for the channel if Verizon
did want to carry it.
