Historians will be scratching their heads for centuries attempting to figure out how and why the greatest Superpower that ever existed became a Banana Republic. They will not find the answer in current books such as The Coming China Wars, The Black Swan, America's Bubble Economy or The Quants. No, no, no. Too simple. The root cause is people, incompetent liberals as well as conservatives. At a time when government needs the best and the brightest, we have the worst and the stupidest (sic). The opposite of a meritocracy, call it a mental midgetocracy.
