How do you find an author's bio? It never occurred to me to look for one before deciding on buying a book. I may skim it after reading the book, but only if I happen to find it in the last pages. I'm not interested in authors, I'm interested in books.

As already mentioned, this is true for fiction, but non-fiction is a bit different. It may be important to assess the reliability of an author and the seriousness of their work, but I usually rely on reviews for this, not on what the author or publisher is telling me.
