A BIG hello from India

Hello people,

I am from India and just bought a Kindle 3. I am a systems engineer by profession and loves to read fiction. Till now, I have only read John Grisham, Sidney Sheldon, Jeffrey Archer, Dan Brown and such. Among Indian authors who write in English, I have read Chetan Bhagat and Neeraj Chhiba. Though not elegant they are fun to read because of my background in Computers and Engineering. Amongst the Hindi literature, I have read Chandrakaanta Santati, Ramayana and Mahabhaarat ( different view from an Indian author whose name escapes my mind right now). I dont know if english versions are around but I can guarantee that the ebook versions are certainly not available. Pity, usch good books are not available as ebooks.

Have been lurking this forum for about 2 months. I even had a broken deal with a fellow member who I could not buy his sony ereader from. I apologise to him and hope his deal went thru smoothly.

So, now that I have got Kindle 3, I am planning to expand my horizons to much more elegant authors such as Paulo Coelho, Mercedes Lackey and what all books that you guys suggest.

Right now, I am reading "The Appeal" by John Grisham.
Thank You.
