Thank you all for your responses. Guess I'll have to be patient and piece together what series or parts of series that I can. Since Andre Norton died in 2005, if there are legal problems, as mentioned by ATDrake, it may be a long while before anything but bits and pieces are available. I did see the books available here on MobileRead - maybe that would indeed be a start; at least I know they will be properly formatted.
@DixieGal: I'm sorry that Ms Norton's writing didn't age well for you. Perhaps much of my feeling for her is nostalgia - it's been a long time since I read anything by her - maybe I should just pick up a few of her freebies and see if it is worth searching for more.
