Trust me, you don't have to like throwing up to be bulimic. You can even detest it and be bulimic; because at that moment it is either better than the alternative, and/or self-punishment.

Mine come purely from experiences involving too many of the same gender who couldn't deal with someone who looked vastly (and I use that word deliberately
) different to the stereotypical magazine/tv people. And it makes it worse if you're both cleverer than they are and at least appear to have quite a bit of self confidence.
(I'm not saying men are blameless in this, btw. )
