Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou for this thread.
I thought I was going crazy and the only one with these type of requirements that you people are looking at.
The links have been wonderful. I was first looking at Panasonic Toughbook/Let's Note C1 and it's a bit too steep at 2300EUR
Now, thanks to you, I've found:
- Gigabyte T1005M, 1366x768, Atom N550 multitouch with USB3 and SD-card, 1.5kg
http://gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3570
Negatives: no button selection for portrait/landscape mode, reported battery life 4hrs
- Viliv S10, 1.2kg, 1.6-2Ghz Atom, resistive (pen supported), 3G, SDHC, USB2, SSD, silent, 7.5hr battery life, webcam, wifi, bt

Negatives: hinge/latch has been criticized, single core 1.6Ghz Atom may be slightly underpowered (there are several different configurations?), viewing angles limited, no auto-rotate or frame buttons
I just wish there were devices that would not have the keyboard, but have the 1366x768 resolution display and weigh under 1kg. It's doable. Maybe next year.
