This is something I've been pleasantly surprised about with my Kindle. Other than syncing, Amazon makes little (or no) distinction between "official" Kindle content and personal documents/audiobooks. Although I might have become used to it over time, it bothered me that the nook has B&N content and side-loaded content segregated. (Well, bothered me enough that I didn't purchase a nook.) As someone mentioned in another thread, for a reasonable price, I'd be willing to pay Amazon to sync my personal content as well. iBooks syncs everything including personal documents - and does it properly, IMO. iBooks syncs the "latest" page read, not the "furthest" as Kindle does.
