But, as we all know - toys are fun!
So, what e-readers would foot the bill:
* Reads both pdf and epub (I don´t care for other formats).-
* No wifi or such, useless for me
* Screen larger than 5"
* Top quality and reliability
As I live in Sweden Kindle and such are ruled out.
Any ideas?

Just out of curiosity: Why is Kindle ruled out?
It's international, so you won't have any problems with Kindles in Sweden.
Same for (softrooted) nook.
There's probably little to no material in Swedish available in Amazon's azw-format. But that's solvable via conversion...
Else: Of my readers, able to fulfill your criterias, I like:
Sony 900: Great form factor. Of course you should go for the successor now: Sony 950.
iPad: May be worth checking out. As a reader, it may have some slight disadvantages (screen in direct sunlight, battery duration, weight). But, depending on your general needs, it still might be interesting.
PocketBook xxx: I've got PocketBook 360, which only has 5". But its firmware makes more than up for it. And there are other models, 3 new ones will be available soon.
BeBook Neo: Some consider it the most advanced reader for the moment.
As you've already got iRex 1000S, I don't list iRex 800. Else it would be on my list as well...
