Thanks so much for the welcome and for the tips. GA Russell, it sounds as if I might be better off waiting to get the JBL and seeing how the formats display before trying to preload the SD card.

I have been lurking around here for a few days as I was looking for information to help me make my final decision on an e-reader, and I saw a mention about library books not expiring; thanks for the link to the specific info, hiaig. When I was poking around the books in my local library, most of them seemed to allow only seven days, so being able to have more time is a definite benefit.

GhostHawk, thanks for the tip about the JBL having trouble with too many subfolders. One thing that really appealed to me about the JBL was the ability to create my own folders and organizational system.

I am really looking forward to getting my JBL, and glad that I looked beyond Kindle, Nook, and Sony. And I'm very glad that I found this forum! Thanks again.
