Sounds exciting!

If my Toshiba wasn't such a great piece of hardware despite the lo-res screen, I'd be thinking about an x50v myself. Maybe soon...
(But don't expect the PIM functions to be as slick and easy to use as PalmOS. Even if PalmOS may be running into a little trouble now, they've got the basic stuff working great. If the PIM stuff was as slick on PPC, I'd be completely content with WinME. Well, of course I'd still have complaints... nothing's perfect! )

I'm anxious to hear what you think of it all. The dark side, the x50v, VGA screens, etc.

The Dell x50v and the IPAQ VGA have gotta be the ultimate mobile PDAs for book reading, but some people don't seem to like that touch pad on the IPAQ instead of a D-pad. I think I'd go with the Dell too.

Funny thing... PalmOS is losing a lot of us previously fanatical Palm fans that weren't really looking to switch until it became the only reasonable option for us. If they could have just done the T5 right, they would have at least kept us for the near term despite delays in OS6 or lags in the hardware specs. I wonder if they can recover and keep the remaining PDA user base, or if they've decided to bet the farm on smart phones. It's sad to see what's happening. I really like Palm, and even PPC is better if there's serious competition.
