It's called
Black Friday and occurs the day after Thanksgiving (4th Thur in November). Huge sales at most stores. I save much of my tech shopping until then. In the last few years, I've only gone to a few stores now that most are offering the same deals online.
Last year, Best Buy gave away $30 gift cards with the purchase of the Sony PRS-300. Now that they carry Kindles, Nooks, and Sonys; I expect to see some good competition. This is when I plan to get my ereader.
