It really depends on what you want from it.
Do you plan on buying your books from Amazon? Or elsewhere. While a lot of people handwave this, stripping DRM isn't exactly intuitive for people who aren't used to using Python (which would be most people)
Did you find the e-ink on the original Nook satisfactory, compared to the newer Pearl type which has more contrast (it's in the K3 and the new Sonys and presumably the Nook 2 if it's ever announced)
And then the whole touchscreen vs button issue.
Personally, I'm not thrilled with the K3, but the screen is better, it's cheaper, and it has buttons. So it was the lesser of two evils (well, three, counting the Kobo)
