I have Kindle 1 and I could convert the MS Word Vietnamese Unicode files to text files then use Mobipocket Creator to create the .prc files which I can read on my Kindle 1 and I think they can read on Kindle 2 and DX with no problem.
Here what I did:
-Open the Unicode Vietnamese file with MS Word (mine is MSWord 2003).
- Save it as a Plain text file (*.txt) (Choose Other Encoding :Unicode)
- Use Notepad to open this .txt file.
- Click on Format=>Font to change to the font: Times New Roman, click OK
Now you can read the Vietnamese characters perfectly.
-Save this one over the old .txt one.
-Use Mobipocket Creator for Windows to convert this new text file to prc file
-Transfer this prc file to your Kindle to read.
Good luck
