I have to admit, I still don't see why everyone is so mad at the OP. Amazon doesn't want him to send it back, so what is he supposed to do?

I think if they don't expect him to return it, they should let him activate it. But as others have pointed out, he CAN still use it. He can even buy from Amazon and then sideload off the PC. The only thing he can't do is buy ON the device.
