Hi All,

I’m a new member and new Kindle 3 owner.

I’ve been recreational book reader all my life but in recent years much of my reading has shifted to shorter, on-line content (that DARN Internet). ;<)

As I’m involved in the high technology industry and am a fan of personal electronics, unusual given my age demographic (still working but getting older), I’ve just monitored the ebook market for a good while. I finally decided to take the plunge in September and am delighted with my new wi-fi K3.

I’m exploring all that the K3 can do, outside of its core book reading role, and am spinning up a list of beach books to populate the K3 with for an upcoming island SCUBA diving vacation.

For the beach I'm putting aside any too serious topics and flipping the old brain into neutral. I enjoy cold war/spy thrillers, history, historical novels, biography and some si-fi.
