So that you better understand what the problem was. There are 2 partitions in firmware that are getting flashed:

1) FSK - every single flasher / customizer touches this one
2) Root - only Sony's flasher and in some cases PRS+ (in case of unsupported firmware) touches it

When FSK & Root are from different versions, it might or might not lead to problems.
The most common version used by flashers / customizers is US version (1.1.00.18040).

In case of PRS+ there is a "Chinese" way of replacing LRF fonts without actually flashing. (using mount --bind command)
