I really am loving the 650--and I have the lighted cover. The light is bright as Jaxx6166 points out. I keep mine on the low setting and have plenty of light. It could be a little dimmer with the bright setting being as light as the dim setting is now. But, I find it does a much better job of lighting the display than the lightwedge cover I have for my 505.

I really did not like the Lightwedge at all, ended up selling it after 2 weeks. I am using a funny little light (flat and foldable) I got at Thalia (a german bookstore who sells the sony readers too), which is doing an OK job (I clip it on the cover of the my case, which I then fold all the way back, if that makes sense...), but I still have to find the perfect solution...

I'll make some pics later, have to wake the kids up for school now.
