I've tried watching movies on my ipaq, and it's surprisingly good!!! Sounds and image quality is good, and quite watchable.I don't really have the HD space to do it properly at the moment, but I will soon, and will be watching a lot more then.
There are a few commercial products available to do the job "in one click" for you. There's also a few freeware tools that can do the same, but require a little more work.
