Same here. Before I ordered my Kindle, I used the kitchen scales to weigh my copy of Dune, so that I could get an idea of how heavy it would be I like that it's so light, so I don't want a heavy case.

Mine isn't neoprene, and I don't know if I'll read with the Kindle in it or not (the Kindle only arrived today, and is still charging), but we'll see. It's light, and it should protect it from scratches, which is what matters to me.

Of course, if other people want to spend money on very fancy cases, that's entirely up to them.
