Yep. That is good news!

AAMOF, all my mini-USB cables are new with devices developed. released and purchased within the last three years. Could be the physical design changed about then.

People might want to buy one from eBay. Specifically, the 5-pin mini-USB cables for digital SLRs seem to have the depth from the case to the end of the connector.
