I cannot make the decision for you, Alex, but I think the T5 is a nice device if you use it mainly for reading e-books. On the other hand, wouldn't you love to be able to surf the net with it as well (i.e. where is the freakin' WiFi?).

I cannot comment on the display of the X50v since I have never seen it in live.
