No it's not another religious thread! I've owned my ereader for almost 2 months now and I'm quite addicted to it and I'm pretty sure my enthusiasm touches the people around me to. So far in the past month:
- My father decided to buy one for my step mother
- My brother bought one for his wife
- My flat mate has now bought one
- On the last flight I took to Geneva I'd managed to convince the pbook reader sitting next to me that ebooks were the way forward - after a full demo he certainly sounded like he was going to hit buy when he got home.
- On the way back, while waiting for a delayed plane, I found myself sitting next to a guy who'd come to town to lobby for audio rights on books for the visually impaired - he was absolutely fascinated by TTS and user selectable huge fonts - a possible future buy.
- On the actual flight I was talking to a guy who regularly buys pbooks in the UK to bring back to Switzerland for him and his wife. I showed him why an ereader was the obvious answer and he'd already decided to buy one for himself and one for his wife for Christmas.
The really sad thing is that everyone of these people will be getting the snazzy new kindle 3 while I'm left behind with my kindle 2
