There are many variables to any valid "battery life comparison" study ...

-Have you run your new Li-Po battery through three or four discharge-charge cycles? If not, than anything you report is relatively valueless.

-The connectivity status - how many hours ON / OFF during your "test" period?

-Charging method - are you charging per Amazon's recommendations? And if not, how are you charging to ensure proper/complete charges?

-What is the total size of your library? How many of each file type are on your Kindle?

And there's many more variables ... But if a "battery life comparison" study does NOT take into account the above at a minimum, then it is not really acknowledging the basics of what a "study" is truly about.

Anecdotal stories have their place, of course. But they should not necessarily be perceived as fact.
