Hey Amazon !!! what about us?! :-(

If you ask me, the software updates should last until the warranty runs out for the last person that bought and registered a new Kindle 2.

I still have 3 months warranty left, and there must be people around with 9, 10 or 11 months left of warranty (especially the eBay buyers)... there must be thousands and thousands of us still with a lot of warranty left.

Surely Amazon should consider the money that they made from us, a legitimate enough reason to make sure that our older generation Kindles get the longest life and best user experience possible if software updates are what it takes to do it... does anyone else agree?

"Tech support" and "warranty repairs" shouldn't be the "end-of-the-line" IMHO... if it's improvable, it should be improved (and we know the K2 can be improved from a software level). Or do they want another generation of disgruntled Kindle owners that feel left-out? i.e. K1 owners
