Hi kcmay, et al,

I'm probably a bit out on a limb here. I preferred #3 above all others, because I could read it more easily. That said, if the book were to be one of a series, then continuity of typeface in the title and byline may help purchasers find the book, and the more distinctive typefaces in the others would catch the eye more.

Also, the words "the" and "of" were easier to pick out than on the other proposals.

In the others, I got the feeling the title was more "Venom Vipers" than anything else. (Could the title be "Viper's Venom"? Just a thought.)
