That's as good a theory as any I've heard.

I doubt it would appear at MacWorld, but it's really a slightly larger version of iPod Touch, isn't it? It needn't have a restrictive phone-like contract.

I've stopped guessing at what Apple will do next. I dropped them after they dropped the Newton, then came back after OSX because I like unix, but my next computer will probably run Ubuntu. The only software I'd like to have that isn't available yet on Linux is handwriting recognition, and I think that will change in the next year or so.
