The cover for my black 650 came today! I opted for the one without the light. In general, my impressions are positive. It's certainly attractive. The leather and synthetic material offer a nice contrasting look, and the construction of the cover itself seems solid. It's also comfortable to hold. We'll see how the non-leather material holds up over time, but I'm not super concerned. In my opinion, the purpose of a cover is to absorb and prevent damage to the reader itself, not decoration.

One thing that initially concerned me was that the plastic snaps that attach to the reader seem somewhat flimsy and fragile, in contrast to the reader's solid construction. After snapping the reader in, it seems reasonably secure, so we'll see how it goes. Also, the magnets that hold the cover shut are a bit weaker than I would like.

Aside from the placement of the snaps, I think this is the same basic design as the covers for the 600/300. I was wondering what people's impressions are of the durability of the covers for the previous models?
