I wonder if a "training" PDF would be helpful, a single page with an example of each gesture followed by a short explanation of what it does. If someone follows the example gesture exactly and doesn't get the correct response then there is something wrong.
It might even be possible to include some examples of what won't work (too small, wrong angles, etc.).
