I've only glanced at
Smallville over the years, but I remember reading when the series was starting that one of the rules for the show was going to be: No flights, no tights. At the most, you might have seen Clark float a few inches off the ground at the end of the series. Considering what the clip showed, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Superman suit make an appearance.
What I'm surprised by are the number of DC characters who have made an appearance in
Smallville over the years. I'm especially surprised by the appearance of Maxwell Lord, considering what that could potentially lead to.
