Having been brought up on battered old sit-up-and-beg typewriters -- mostly hammered to death in busy newsrooms I've worked in around the world -- I tend to be very heavy-handed on keyboards.
Can't get out of the habit of hitting the keys mightily to make an impression on half a dozen carbon copies, so I go through them at an alarming rate.
I just pick up cheapos for a few bucks. Problem is that, living in France (AZERTY), I've got to have them shipped from the UK or US (QWERTY), so I always keep a couple of spares.
