I used to have a MS-ergo keyboard, back in the mid 90's... but one thing that I found persistently troublesome was that they didn't cope with shear/side-force as well as I'd like, so the key stroke would be stalled by excessive friction due to the slider/barrel key guide.

Since returning to the IBM-M types I'm much happier... I can also now crush small bugs with my powerful fingers
