Hi everyone and thanks to all for the wealth of information on these fora.

I am new to the whole kindle thing and apologies if this is mentioned before but I could not find it searching here. Is there a way to block or disable the automatic software updates for Kindle 3? The reason i am asking is that I would like to wait for reviews on the new firmware released prior to installing then in case they mess up a perfectly smooth running machine when these updates are automatically installed.
