Well, until just very recently, the situation was the same here.

I preferred it that way....Dealing with knowledgeable kindle reps beats the heck out of uninterested, poorly trained salesclerks.

The "hands on" experience is way overrated. You need to use the device for at least a week to get a true feel of how it works. You can't tell diddly by trying to use a wired on sample that you can't really handle.

With the Kindle you had 30 days to return, no questions asked, and return shipping was very low.

Is it the same with you?
