Then after all that, turns out it was a false alarm. 60 mph gusts and thunder, but no tornadoes, even though the sirens went off.

Whew! That was a wild one! Not me, I guess I'm a bit "brain dead"

because I had my nose pressed against the window to watch for anything. We don't have a basement and windows everywhere. Might as well enjoy the show!

Our portable basketball hoop came down, but I sure thought we were going to lose some trees or our failing corn crib! We do have a lot of stuff, shingles from the corn crib and play stuff all over and out in the fields that we'll have to retrieve!
I heard there was a lot of "wind damage" in Oregon... no details though. I also heard that they had to remove a tree that came down on someone in Rockford. I'll have to watch the news tonight.
