I like the ability to go to B&N for the special offers but I don't really do it that often so I could live without it.
It seems to accept calibre conversions very well (formatting is much better than my Sony used to be)

The reasons I want a Kindle 3G:
The Kindle seems to be a better device (I've never used one but I'm going from what I've read)
Quicker page turning

Questions:
Does the Kindle accept Calibre conversions well?
Does the battery life really excel over the nook?

Remember that all the books you have bought from B&N are DRM protected. If you want to convert those books to Mobipocket to read them on the Kindle you will have to remove the DRM.
