Today I got a cover for my iPad, a Speck Candyshell in "Batwing Black". It adds a bit of heft...more than expected...but not too much. It also lets me fit the iPad in the keyboard dock without removing it, which was a requirement (I'll also get an elastic-cornered, zippered, padded, leather case, for travel protection, but this'll do for now).

Also, we put in our car, Wolfie, for his 30,000km service today. They gave us as a loaner for the day a 2009 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro. It was quite a nice car, sharpish off the mark and quite firmly (with some forgiving) sporty on the road. Probably not the kind of car for someone wanting something purely "luxury" (definitely a bit "sport-luxury"), and the automatic gearbox could have a bit of a shunt between 1st and 2nd if given a bit of a punt (I think the manual would get the goods from the gearbox), but it was quite nice, and, I suspect, could be quite fun on a drivers' road. All this commentary, and I don't even drive...take it with a grain of salt.

I also got to sit in the car I want but can't afford. It was much nicer (and much bigger IRL than expected). Now to enter lotto...

Cheers,
Marc
