The Oxford English Dictionary has added the word "bonkbuster" to its online version on June 18 2002, defining it as "a type of popular novel characterised by frequent sexual encounters between the characters".

Sue Limb, who coined the term in 1988, told the Guardian "for someone like herself who regularly played with words it was an easy step from blockbuster to bonkbuster after a publisher asked for a "big thick book with lots of bonking in it".

I thought the term was boinking, but maybe that's that's another British vs. American spelling.
