The only real problem with the Sony is the "library scan" issue. When you boot the machine, or disconnect it from USB on the PC, it scans its library to see if you've added any new books. Harry, I have 1000 books on my Sony PRS-600 at present (and plan on adding more) all stored on an SD card...and I'm STILL not getting the library scan issue. Mine never has taken more than a minute at the absolute most. I guess I should count myself lucky....
